Every modern building runs on two kinds of wiring. One carries power to lights, motors and sockets. The other carries signals: camera video, fire alarms, announcements, door access, data and building controls. This second group is called ELV systems, and it decides how safe, secure and smart a building really is.

Cyber Group is an ELV and IBMS system integrator with 25+ years of experience and 3,000+ projects. Headquartered in Ahmedabad and delivering across India, we design, install, integrate and maintain all ELV systems under one roof for hospitals, hotels, factories, pharma plants, offices, stadiums and public infrastructure.

What Does ELV Mean?

ELV stands for Extra Low Voltage. These systems run at very low voltages, so they use thin signal and data cables instead of heavy power wiring. In India the term covers almost every low-current system in a building, from CCTV to fire alarms.

ELV Systems We Design and Install

Why Plan ELV Systems Together?

  1. One cabling backbone: CCTV, Wi-Fi, access control, IP PA and BMS share the same structured cabling and network, cutting cost and clutter.
  2. Systems that respond together: when the fire alarm triggers, the PA plays the evacuation message, access-controlled doors release and CCTV shows the affected area.
  3. One control room: operators watch and manage everything from one place.
  4. One point of responsibility: a single integrator answers for design, installation, testing and maintenance.
  5. Easier maintenance: one AMC, one service team and one support number.

ELV Systems by Building Type

BuildingTypical ELV systems
HospitalsCCTV, fire alarm, nurse call, bed head panels, access control, PA, BMS
HotelsFire alarm, voice evacuation, CCTV, guest-room access, networking, AV
Factories and plantsFire alarm, CCTV with analytics, time attendance, boom barriers, PA
Pharma plants and cleanroomsDoor interlocking, access control, VESDA, BMS
Offices and IT parksStructured cabling, access control, BMS, CCTV, AV, visitor management
Stadiums and public venuesLarge CCTV networks, DFMD, baggage scanners, PA, data networks

How an ELV Project Runs

  1. Site survey and requirement study with the client, consultant and architect.
  2. Design: drawings, device layouts and the bill of quantities (BOQ).
  3. Supply of certified products, compliant with RoHS, UL, CE, FCC and LPCB.
  4. Supply, installation, testing and commissioning (SITC) of each system.
  5. Integration between systems, handover and training.
  6. AMC and 24×7 support for the life of the building.

ELV Systems: FAQs

What are ELV systems?

ELV stands for Extra Low Voltage. ELV systems are the low-voltage signal and data systems in a building: CCTV, fire alarm, access control, PA and voice evacuation, structured cabling and networking, telephony, BMS, entrance automation and audio visual.

What is the difference between ELV and electrical systems?

Electrical systems carry power (typically 230 V or 415 V) to lights and machines. ELV systems carry low-voltage signals and data for safety, security, communication and building control.

What is the difference between ELV and IBMS?

ELV is the wider group of systems. An IBMS (integrated building management system) is the software platform that connects ELV systems such as BMS, fire alarm, CCTV and access control so they can be monitored from one place.

When should ELV systems be planned?

At the design stage, before civil and electrical work, so conduits, cable routes, rack rooms and power points are ready on time.

Why use one ELV system integrator?

One integrator shares the cabling backbone, plans the links between systems from day one, delivers on one schedule and gives a single point of responsibility for design, installation and AMC.

Do you work outside Gujarat?
